A chess game is a classic board game for two players.
It's played on a board made of two intersecting paths. One of the players starts with a king, and the other starts with a pawn. The players move their pieces according to a set of rules. Each piece has a value, which depends on the rank. A king is worth more than a pawn, and a pawn is worth one square.
A square is the space on the board. A path is an uninterrupted sequence of adjacent spaces, and a player can move a piece from one square to the next. A path can be occupied by a single piece at a time.
